The outdoor lifestyle boiled through my blood from a young age. Most weekends, my family would pack up the truck and head for the mountains.

Whether we were hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, dirt biking, or boating, I always felt myself returning home feeling extremely recharged, spiritually fulfilled, and extremely blessed.

I grew up… I tested out several career paths… I lived in Maryland, California, Alaska, Utah, and other parts of Montana… and I did a LOT of soul searching

I found a direct correlation between the time I spent adventuring the backcountry and my happiness.

I also found that sharing those experiences with others gave me purpose.

I’ve come to terms that I won’t be the wealthiest woman on the planet.

But I know that I can’t take money with me to the grave.

So I am turning my passion into a profession, and hoping to inspire others along the way.

What is Backcountry Blessed?

Maranda Montana’s Backcountry Blessed serves as a voice to encourage the  importance of the outdoor lifestyle to those of all genders, all ethnicities, all ages, and all experience levels.

Maranda’s vision for Backcountry Blessed is to provide value to those who wish to pursue the outdoor lifestyle and go beyond the “beaten path”.

Through informational articles regarding hard lessons learned and outdoor experiences, as well as  guiding fishing and hiking trips (coming February 2018!), Maranda hopes to create an environment where all people feel encouraged and empowered to get outside and enjoy the blessing of the outdoors.

Her favorite quote might just say it best…

“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in places where other people see nothing.”
